General Activities
- Association for Disabled People has been working on the Accessible India Campaign. ADP is the empanelled organization to do Access Audits. Our NGO has conducted Access Audits of more than 350 buildings across the country. Now we strive to work for the implementation of Access Audits reports.
- ADP is running many activities for the welfare of persons with disabilities such as Capacity building workshops, awareness campaigns, community-based meetings, etc.
- ADP is also working for the development of Para Sports for sportspersons with disabilities since 2006 and associated with “Para Sports Foundation” and “Wheelchair Cricket India.”
- ADP also runs “Viklang Sahayta Kendra” and free counseling center for disabled poeple and other needy community people.
- ADP assists PwDs to get Railway & Bus Concession passes, Disability Identity cards, MCD Booth, Pension etc.
- We create awareness about disability and work for the rights of women with disabilities. We also provide counseling/guidance to women with disabilities about employment/self-employment.
- We provide free legal advice (RPWD Act 2016) to differently abled people.
- We also organize assessment camps for the youth and disabled through our outreach program.
- ADP runs a Cultural Group for PwDs, called “Disabled Power” which organizes cultural activities for them.
- We help PwDs with employment opportunities in the Private sector. We scout and recommend them to the corporate sector based on their skills and expertise.
- ADP is working to save the environment and is involved in plantation of trees and plants every year.
